Gary Brady's Constructing History

I'm an educator, entrepreneur, activist and an educational technologist.  I am also a Microsoft Innovative Educator and Community Influencer. My core belief is that integrating educational technology is where the "rubber hits the road" in 21st Century classrooms. Teachers have to do what tech cannot do, and tech has to do what teachers cannot. If we ask the right questions and select the right tools to complete our work then we are creating opportunities to empower learners and teachers.

My background in business leadership gives me a unique perspective in education. I rely upon data collection, as well as innovative approaches to interpret data to make informed decisions. I am reflective, student-centered and passionately committed to student learning and social skill development. I Possess skills and knowledge developed in a variety of professional fields that contribute to a complex understanding of how the social sciences are relevant to students’ lived experiences in the 21st century. My teaching focuses on finding, evaluating, using and communicating information personally, inter-personally and digitally. In order to achieve these goals I focus student learning on text literacy, visual literacy, data literacy and search literacy. I am an outstanding communicator who collaborates effectively with all levels of staff and community.
