corollary:  a statement that is true because it follows from a previous true statement.

influence: the power to produce effects on the actions, behavior, or opinions of another.

imperialism: building an empire by founding colonies or conquering other nations

isolationism: avoiding involvement in the affairs of other countries

alliance: A close association of nations, formed to advance common interests or causes

protectorate: A relationship of protection and partial control assumed by a superior power over a dependent country or region

pervasive: existing in or spreading through every part of something

empire: a group of countries or regions that are controlled by one ruler or one government.
